Show us your Bits & Pieces:
ATVP celebrates its 6th birthday with 32 new and emerging artists crossing the contemporary art spectrum
of mediums, practices and ideas. From the young to the older, artists have been selected from submissions
put forward to the gallery highlighting their early career artistic development.
Artists selected for Show us your bits & pieces represent local and emerging artists who are; currently
enrolled in tertiary undergraduate and post-graduate studies; recent graduates from fine arts undergraduate
degrees and masters degrees; and re-emerging artists who are on the precipice of creative change.
ATVP has showcased and helped to develop the artistic careers of hundreds of artists since 2007 and has in
particular been highly successful in nurturing and promoting early career contemporary visual artists through
its Spotlight on Local & Emerging Artists program which is supported by The Visual Arts and Craft Strategy
and the NSW Government through Arts NSW.
Show us your Bits & Pieces is an opportunity for new relationships to emerge; where artists get their foot in the door of an established arts organisation; where ATVPs new team of co-directors will be introduced to new and local artists and their practices and where audiences will be introduced to a diversity of new and emerging art talent.
Join us at the opening launch, Thursday 11 April 6-9pm and at an Artist Talks session, Saturday 20 April 2-4pm.
