GALLERY SPACES
Shopfront Gallery
Shopfront space for artists to showcase their work with exposure to passers-by on busy King Street day and night, 7 days a week. With a 2.8 metres square floor space x 3m high ceiling and 3.65 linear metres of wall space (1.85m x 3.00m feature wall) this is a great space for individual works of 2d, 3d, sculpture orinstallation, screen-based works and performance art.
Centre Gallery
The largest of the three spaces, the Centre Gallery
features
3.6m
high
ceilings, 30 metres square floor space and 32.5 linear metres
of wall space.
Project(ion) Gallery
The Project(ion) Gallery includes over 12 linear metres of wall space,3m high ceilings, 12 metres square floor space.
This Centre and Project(ion) Gallery's also have available 2 movable partition walls measuring 240cm (h) x 93cm (w) x 28cm (d), providing extra wall space and flexibility in room layout and design.

What
you get when you exhibit at ATVP:
*
Exposure, ATVP currently
has 1000 visitors per month coming through the doors.
*
The gallery directors and other gallery volunteers tend the
exhibition for the exhibition period.
* 500 full-colour invitations designed and printed by the gallery. Artists will be
provided with an amount of invitations to distribute while ATVP organises your
exhibition.
* Electronic invitations sent to all members of the
ATVP emailing list. This is a list of over 1500 email subscribers and 1500
Facebook members.
*
Documentation of your
exhibition and related events on the ATVP website. This website is currently
attracting over 4500 visitors per month.
* Electronic listings on ACME (circulation 1200), Art
Gallery Guide and Art Almanac (Australia wide distribution) and other internet
art forums including Artabase, Artlife, Artforum, My24/7 (subject to moderators
and editors discretion).
* Monthly advertisement in Art Gallery Guide and
monthly listing in both Art Gallery Guide and Art Almanac.
* A media release written by the gallery and sent to
media outlets. Listings in media publications, television, radio and street press (subject
to editor's discretion).
* Your installation and demount coordinated
and installed by the gallery - you don't have to install your own artwork/s but are expected
to participate in the install and assist with tasks to prepare the exhibition
for opening.
* AV equipment for use in the exhibition (depending
on artists needs and what is available - please discuss with the gallery).
* Insurance cover (limited, please consult gallery,
any additional cover is the artist's responsibility).
* Exhibition labels, informative text, introductory
text, and/or room sheet, designed, printed and mounted by the gallery (at ATVPs
discretion).
* An invitation to participate in artists talks and other related public programs for groups
attending the gallery.
* A commitment from the gallery to engage in your artwork.
* Inclusion in publications documenting the
exhibitions and events at the gallery.
* Opening hours and a location that provides an
opportunity for a vast and diverse audience to see your artwork. We are open to
the public 32 hours per week (Thurs 10am-8pm, Fri 10am-6pm, Sat-Sun 10am-5pm).
* A gallery-coordinated opening launch during the
first week of the exhibition (usually a Thursday evening).
ATVP brings the beverages and some dips, artists are asked to bring along a plate to share with their guests.
* A professional gallery experience with strong
community engagement.
EXHIBITION PROPOSALS:
* Exhibitions at the gallery are available in three week durations.
* Proposals can be made by individual artists, groups of artists and/or curators, collectives or other organisations.
* The Directors will design a program of exhibitions for each season comprising gallery initiated exhibitions (ATVP Show of the Season; Emerging Curator Mentorship Program and the ATVP Mural project) and a selection of exhibitions drawn from exhibition proposals that have been submitted to ATVP.
* Applicants can propose to use either of the Shopfront Gallery, the Foyer/Centre Gallery, or the Corridor/Project(ion) Gallery. Proposals can be made for one, or a combination of, or all, of the these spaces in combination.
* Applicants who apply to use sections of the total gallery will be mixed and matched with other applicants that share clear connections or are deemedas being complimentary to one another, in other parts of the gallery.
* You can propose to exhibit as little as one work or a complete body of work, a solo show or a group show.
* All applicants will be advised in due course of the decisions of the Directors committee.
* All applications will be kept on file by the gallery for a certain duration as deemed necessary by the Directors.
* No information will be shared with third parties.
* The gallery will receive a 25% commission for all works sold during, or as a result of, the exhibition.

We are here to work with artists and to give them the support that they deserve.We are committed to working for the artist and we see the exhibition process asa collaborative and supportive journey. We insist that artists get rewarded for their creative effort and value for the expense in showing their work to an audience.
